The AMCOM™ II Two-Diver Rechargeable Basic Portable Communicator with Outdoor Power Module and International Locking Power Cord offers a single channel and a single volume control for both diver-to-tender uplink and downlink communications. The latest iteration of the AMCOM™ II preserves the familiar user interface, robust durability, and exceptional sound quality of its predecessor while introducing a range of digital enhancements: - Enhanced Audio Fidelity: Thanks to an ultra-low noise circuit and noise suppression technology, speech is now crystal clear. Automatic gain adjustment prevents audio distortion, enhances speaker protection, and improves audio quality, expanding the bandwidth by 47%. - Prolonged Battery Life: The introduction of a cutting-edge Class-D digital audio power amplifier in the audio amplifier card significantly reduces power consumption, minimizes heat production, and extends battery life by up to 32%. - Customizable Gain Settings: The audio amplifier card now boasts adjustable gain settings, allowing for flexible configuration in various communication scenarios and environments. - Minimized Electromagnetic Interference (EMI): Effective EMI reduction is achieved through the implementation of spread-spectrum and de-phase control techniques, ensuring seamless integration with diving systems. - Outdoor-Ready AC Power Module: The weather-resistant AC power entry module, rated at IP65, is designed to withstand outdoor conditions and can accommodate country-specific AC power cords. - Tailored V-Lock AC Power Cord: During the ordering process, customers can select the IP54 rated Locking AC power cord that suits their specific requirements.
Single volume control for both divers. Diver’s umbilicals can be set up on 4-wire mode (full duplex) or 2-wire mode (push-to-talk) or any combination of the two modes for each diver. Ability to use both dynamic and pre-amplified diver microphones with a unique circuit that detects microphone type and automatically adjusts volume levels. The divers’ connections consist of cross-talk and separate speaker and microphone inputs. Internal charger allows for simultaneous charging and operation of the unit while protecting the rechargeable battery from being over-charged. Automatically supplies power to the audio amplifier when AC power is disconnected to allow for continued operation. See Tech Note (below) for recommended accessories.
