Container arrives at SMP ready for new project

The container is being outfitted to be a workshop and will have storage spaces, tool cabinets, as well as a workbench built into it. SMP will also be installing lighting, power points, air conditioning unit and a heater amongst other equipment.

The client is an African-based energy service company who operates in the natural resources sector and works with various projects in Africa. This workshop container will allow them to support their customers remotely with inspection and repair services.

SMP have built a variety of different machinery containers which have been outfitted for a range of different uses. They have been used in many different industries including commercial diving, military & defence, and offshore oil & gas. Common machinery container setups include HP and LP storage with compressors, diving panels and diver monitoring, containerised decompression chambers and support equipment.

Each project is built to fit the bespoke requirements of the client. The container sizes include 10ft, 15ft, and 20ft in ISO or DNV standards. More sizes can be available upon request.
