DDC being prepared for Far Eastern Client
The client came to SMP as they required a DDC as part of a large-scale project to allow them to quickly get personnel out of the water and into a pressurised environment. The 1.5m DDC that we are currently assembling will allow divers to complete their decompression period in a safe environment should it be necessary.
Once complete, the chamber will be able to seat up to 4 people, will work up to 10 Bar and will be fully IMCA complaint. It will also have a medical lock, allowing for items to be passed to and from the pressurised environment.
We have been designing and manufacturing diving decompression chambers for over 35 years, supplying clients across the globe and in a range of different industries. All of our chambers are design approved and certified by Lloyds Register and manufactured in accordance to HSE guidelines, BSI quality standards, and CE approvals. They are also manufactured and certified to IMCA guidelines for inshore and offshore use.
Our chambers are built to the requirements of the client and can include diameters of 1.5m, 1.8m, and 2m, and can either be free standing or housed within a container. Each chamber’s internal and external pneumatic outfits are finished to the highest standards, featuring stainless steel, brass and Tungum® alloy pipe work.
