Description
This three-day course, held at our head office in Preston, is designed for up to six technicians. Attendance on the first two days is mandatory, while the third day is optional. However, please note: technicians will not be certified to work on the equipment covered on Day 3 unless they attend that session.
The course is structured to teach participants how to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Kirby Morgan Helmets and Band Masks, in accordance with Kirby Morgan’s official documents:
A2.1 Annual Inspection / Overhaul and Maintenance Checklist
A2.2 Monthly Inspection and Maintenance Checklist
Upon completion, participants will be qualified to carry out maintenance and repairs on their own equipment, as well as that of their employer and colleagues within the same company.
Certificate
On successful completion of the course the individual will issued with a certificate by Submarine Manufacturing & Products Ltd endorsed by Dive Lab Inc detailing the equipment they have been trained on. The certificate will be initially valid for three years and then four years on completion of a refresher course.

Day 1 & 2
- Introduction to the current Kirby Morgan range and brief history of the products
- The differences and similarities of Kirby Morgan helmets and full-face masks
- Overhaul and inspection of SL17, SL17C, SL27 KM37, KMB18
- Overhaul and inspection of 350, 350 super flow and 455 regulators
- Post Dive Cleaning, Maintenance, and Inspection
- EGS Bailout system
- Surface supplied breathing requirements
Day 3 (Optional for certificate renewal, mandatory for first certificate)
- Overhaul and inspection of KM37ss, KM77ss, KM97ss
