In an attempt to keep this page as simple to read as possible the SMP website operates the following privacy policy:

COOKIES

Firstly, our website does not store any information on your computer using cookies to identify you. Our site offers a quote request facility where users can submit a quote request for products which are listed on the website. We identify users using the IP address that the user is broadcasting from. This is simply so that we can maintain the list of products that the user is interested in.

PRIVATE DATA

When users want to contact us, they can do this in 3 ways via the website:

1. Submit a quote request via quote checkout page

2. Request a brochure via brochure request page

3. Send a general enquiry via contact page

On each of these 3 pages, we have a form which is used to collect users personal information such as name, address, enquiry. This is to allow us to gather enough information to reply to the users request whether it is for a quote, a copy of our brochure or simply an enquiry that they want a response to. This information is saved into a database to allow us to refer back to the enquiry at a later time.

We will generally respond to users quote requests with a PDF document listing individual prices for products requested. The user then has the opportunity to place the order and requesting a pro-forma invoice.

We do not share this stored information with any third party with the exception of when we recommend an alternative company to handle your enquiry, should this relate to specialist equipment that we are not able to supply directly. In this event we will always notify you that we have referred the enquiry.

EMAIL NEWSLETTER

We operate a monthly email newsletter which users can opt in or out depending on their preference when they contact us through one of the above pages. All newsletters sent out contain an unsubscribe link should users wish to opt out of receiving future newsletters.
