Mobile Dive Control Vehicle Training with Client

A senior engineer from SMP has been training a client and familiarising them with the new mobile dive control vehicle this week. The system was delivered to them in the last quarter of 2022.

The mobile dive control vehicle features key systems to help operations managers and engineers monitor diving personnel. These systems have been installed into the rear of the vehicle and include a diver video monitoring system which is connected to multiple screens, a diver audio communications system which can be connected to multiple divers, a 3-diver gas control panel, as well as gas storage cylinders. Umbilical hangars have been installed onto the back of the vehicle to allow for storage of two diving umbilical reels.

The vehicle has also been fitted with various items of everyday furniture and appliances including bench seats, storage lockers and a microwave. This makes the vehicle more accommodating for day to day working life.

The mobile dive control vehicle was made whilst closely working with the client to make sure that the system fulfilled their bespoke requirements. The system needed to be mobile to allow for usage in various locations across different sites. The client undertakes subsea operations in the military and defence sector.

These systems can be fitted with all the various equipment to allow for effective monitoring of subsea operations and are always made bespoke to best suit the requirements of the client.
